May 15, 2020

User and permissions management, AI-assisted tagging, improved editing

In order to stay on top of what our customers need, the Lytho Team is constantly working in close cooperation with customers to add functionality to our platform, and to improve existing DAM features. Here you will find our product updates for May 2020.

Starting from the launch of Lytho, many customers have commented on the mature state of development of the Lytho Digital Asset Management platform. At the same time, from the very beginning we have always felt that we need to continuously work on adding new features and improving existing functionalities in order to maximally support our customers to do what they're good at and to stay on-brand.

In order to stay on top of what our customers need, the Lytho Team is constantly working in close cooperation with customers and our developers to add functionality to our platform. Over the last month, we have worked specifically on improving user and permissions management, AI-assisted tagging, and improved editing functionalities.

Here you will find our product updates for May 2020.

User account & group permissions

Lytho now supports:

  • Improved user account filter options
You can now easily filter out people with certain roles, user group permissions, status, or user creation date.
  • Improved user import functionality
With feedback on-screen showing if an upload has been successful.
  • Improved management and organizing of user groups
You are now able to change groups more easily and you have more flexibility in organizing permissions and the hierarchy between groups and their permissions.

AI-assisted tag suggestions & tags for publications

The platform now offers:

  • AI-assisted tag suggestions
This is an add-on on top of the “similar images” functionality. Viewing an asset in full-screen mode, you will now be given AI-generated tag suggestions for the asset. How this works is that if you have a lot of assets in your environment that are similar to the asset you're currently working on, the system will suggest tagging the new asset with tags used on those similar images.
  • Tags & Permission for publications
You can now also add tags & permission for publications, which will be showing approved status with timestamps and an indication of who the approver was.

Improved editing in Create & Publish

Working with the templates in the Create & Publish functionality has improved significantly:

  • View changes while waiting for preview
Instead of having to look at a blank preview, default output is now generated when you refresh the preview. So you see what changes you've made will look like even while the preview is being generated.
  • White text toggle
Working with templates, it can be fairly tricky to edit white text. You can now toggle to ‘dark mode’ so you can see the text you're editing on a dark background for improved readability.
  • Manual setting of output quality
You can now manually adjust the PPI value for PNG output, setting it before publishing. This way, users have more control over the quality of output.

Next to the above points we are continuing work on External API and documentation for our DAM.
